Dash to Cart lets merchants create promotional emails directly from the Customers area, without moving customer activity to a separate email platform first.

You can target different customer groups, write and format your message, use AI assistance where available, and send or save the campaign as a draft.

Step 1: Open Customers
From your Dash to Cart store dashboard:
  1. Go to Customers.
  2. Review your customer records.
  3. Select Promotional Email.

The Customers area can include customer activity such as orders, abandoned carts and other available engagement information.

Step 2: Choose who you want to email
Dash to Cart supports segmented promotional email sends.

Current audience options can include:
  • All customers
  • Customers with abandoned carts
  • Customers with completed orders
  • Customers with no orders yet
  • Customers who liked products
  • Returning customers
  • Custom customer selections

This lets you send a more relevant message instead of sending the same promotion to everyone.

Step 3: Write your email
Set up the core email details, including:
  • Subject
  • Recipients or audience
  • Reply-to email
  • Email body

The email editor supports rich content such as text, links and images where available.

Keep the message focused on one clear purpose, such as:
  • Announcing a new product
  • Promoting a Sale Session
  • Sharing a seasonal offer
  • Re-engaging customers
  • Recovering abandoned carts
  • Introducing a relevant coupon or bundle

Step 4: Use AI writing assistance if needed
Dash to Cart includes AI-assisted email writing where available.

The AI can help draft promotional copy inside the editor, which you can then review and customise before sending.

Treat AI as a drafting assistant, not an automatic sender. Always check the generated content for:
  • Accuracy
  • Tone
  • Offer details
  • Dates
  • Prices
  • Links
  • Customer relevance

before sending the campaign.

Step 5: Add your Reply-to address
Enter the email address customers should use if they reply to the campaign.

Use a monitored business or support email so customers can reach you with questions about the promotion or their order.

Step 6: Send now or save as a draft
When the email is ready, use the available action to either:
  • Send the campaign, or
  • Save as Draft and return to it later.

Review the recipient segment carefully before sending.

Can I track whether customers opened my email?
Yes. Dash to Cart’s current email tools include email-open tracking with timestamp visibility where available.

This can help you understand whether customers are engaging with your campaigns.

An email open does not necessarily mean the customer clicked or made a purchase, so consider it alongside your store and campaign analytics.

How many emails can I send?
Email sending depends on your current plan and available Email Credits.

The current Business plan includes 60 emails per month for AI-powered email marketing.

If you are unsure how many credits you have remaining, review the Email Credit usage shown in your Dash to Cart account.

What should I send to different customer groups?
For abandoned carts, remind customers about products they left behind and make it easy to return.

For completed-order customers, consider new arrivals, complementary products or relevant future offers.

For customers with no orders, focus on introducing the store, bestselling or featured products, or a carefully selected first-purchase offer.

For returning customers, prioritise relevance, new products, bundles, Sale Sessions or products related to previous interest.

Avoid sending discounts simply because the feature is available. The message should have a clear reason.

Good email marketing practice

Keep promotional emails:

  • Clear
  • Relevant
  • Easy to scan
  • Focused on one primary message
  • Honest about pricing and offers
  • Easy for customers to reply to

Avoid sending excessive or irrelevant campaigns. Better targeting usually creates a stronger customer experience than sending every email to the entire database.
